Meet the man behind the camera | Alex Hirschler of Spyro Productions
Photography has been in my blood since I was a kid. As owner of Spyro Productions, LLC, my goal is to create amazing club photography that you look at and say " I want to be there". I have taken photographs of golf related scenes for the past 30 years. I have photographed courses from Hawaii to Canada to the East Coast. The beauty and serenity of a golf course during the golden hour is a scene rarely matched. I use top pf the line equipment to capture the beauty and access unique points of view for projects. My primary camera is the highly acclaimed Sony Alpha A7R lll, with mirrorless camera technology and genuine Sony lens. This camera offers some of the highest possible still and video resolution. I earned my Remote Pilot Commercial License which allows me to use unmanned aerial systems for business and pleasure. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2 has great picture quality for both stills and video. I have also used the iPhone X and DJI Pocket Osmo in certain situations. I currently reside in Florida with my wife, Abbe, of 31 years.
The Story of Spyro
There is perhaps nothing more dear to a family, outside of your kids, than the family pet. It is with this affection that Spyro became my LLC's namesake. Spyro the Sphinx was an incredibly loyal, playful, athletic, personable, creative, and friendly cat-dog with a beautiful soul and a zest for life. Even though he passed several years ago, he still brings a smile to our faces when we mention his name. I hope it does the same when you see your club’s golf photography and that it makes you say "I want to be there”.
