"Hammock Dunes Club members must be ecstatic to have these two meticulously maintained facilities that are as challenging as they are diverse…”. That quote is from 8 time PGA champion Fred Funk.  Situated along the Central Atlantic Coastal area just south of St Augustine, Hammock Dunes boast two beautiful courses named The Links and The Creek.   The Links is a Tom Fazio design that sprawls in the residential gated community with 12 of 18 holes on a body of water with plenty of strategic sand placements. Holes 6, 7 and 18 are oceanfront holes where it is not unusual to see dolphins, ospreys, and shrimp boats out among the waves.  The Creek course is set in the most pristine and natural environment.  The course plays an impressive 7368 yards from the tips and will play host to the Florida Cup Summer’19.   When you meander thru the 690 acres, it’s easy to understand why this Rees Jones Course was named a “top 100 residential golf course in America" by Golf Digest and featured on Golf America in 2018.   Deliberately in harmony with the environment, Hammock Dunes is a recognized as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries and is home to all kinds of wildlife including the alligators, Bald Eagles, Hawks, turtle, deer, herons, and ospreys.  It’s no wonder that the scenery set up photography so beautiful it makes you want to “be there’.  Special thanks to Head Golf Pro, Brad Meyers and Director of Membership, Kim Laxton for the access and endorsement for this special project.
